Hi, my name is Juan "Jay" Linares, and hard work has been a part of my life since I was 9 years old. My first job was with my grandfather, helping with landscaping. I struggled to push a wheelbarrow with mulch, but I pushed through and managed to get the job done. That experience not only taught me the value of perseverance but also money.

Since then, I’ve approached every task with a positive attitude and gratitude for the opportunity to work hard and provide for my family. The average person in the U.S. throws away about 1,700lbs of waste each year. Our affluence means we are the number one producer of waste per capita globally! As somebody who enjoys going to the dump ( I just think its fascinating), I get to see first hand just how much junk is generated and also what gets recycled. Junk has to be disposed of properly, otherwise it ends up polluting our neighborhoods and the natural habitat around us. Though most waste ends up in the landfills locally, some of It gets recycled and reused.
